olivia’s Story
I have loved soccer ever since I was a little girl. I started playing when I was five years old. The passion that I have for this sport has grown over the years that I have been playing. Playing recreational, travel, club, high school, and now being at the Division 1 level, I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have learned so many life lessons and created memories that will last me a lifetime. I am inspired by my family and the sacrifices they have made for me to achieve my dreams. They have been by my side since day one and their endless support is something that I am so thankful for. I am also inspired by my teammates whom I have played with over the years for their hard work and dedication to this sport. They have pushed me on and off the field, and I am so lucky to have these amazing women in my life. This sport has taught me so much about life and I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. I chose Fordham because it checked every box for me when I was looking at schools. I wanted to play at the Division 1 level, but I also wanted to be challenged in the classroom. Being in New York City, I have endless opportunities and connections. The emphasis on family and togetherness at Fordham was unlike any other school that I visited and that was very important to me. I am also very close to home, which allows my family to attend every game. I wouldn’t change my experience here at Fordham for the world. I am a captain for my team at Fordham and I have been named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll each year at Fordham.
WHY ULTRA ANKLE?
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT PLAYING FOR fordham?
The best part about playing for Fordham University is the culture and the people that I am surrounded by. I love the school and the girls that I play with, which brings fun to every single practice and game. Everyone on the team works so hard on and off the field in everything they do, which is really inspiring. We share the same goals on the field, which makes our relationships on the field very strong. I love playing the game I love, at a school I love, surrounded by great people!
