braedon’s Story
Although though I started playing basketball at a young age, my love for the game really developed in Middle school. As a young athlete I have always been the underdog and have learned to overcome constant adversities along the way. I began training 3 times at week with my trainer and started strength training also. Instead of giving up,
like many would have, I dug deeper. With my self determination and the constant support of my family, I trained harder and surrounded myself with good people. Through countless hours of practice alone
and with my brothers, I was able to overcome the adversities and shine through my high school career, earning All-County and All-Area awards during my Junior and Senior year. The constant pursuit to better myself and continue to play the game I love has made for an exciting basketball career which has now allowed me to play at the
collegiate level while also earning a full academic scholarship at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
WHY ULTRA ANKLE?
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT PLAYING FOR NOTRE DAME OF MARYLAND UNIVERSITY?
The best part of playing for Notre Dame of Maryland is being able to continue my love and passion for the sport in a small school environment. Its a newer basketball program with a strong “family” feel and support. You are a name and a face here where people actually know and care about each other. I also love that it keeps me close to home and that my family comes to watch and support our team.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUNG PLAYERS IN YOUR SPORT?
The best advice I would give to players is to fall in love with your sport and the process it takes to play at the next level. If you love the actual craft of the sport itself then the countless hours of training come easy. Not every day or game will be perfect but just continue to focus on small consistent improvements which will dramatically change your game over time. Love what you do and it will love you back!
