kenna’s Story

I was involved with many sports growing up but by 8th grade I found my passion playing volleyball. I joined the most competitive team in my area and played up several age groups early on which pushed me each year to work harder and compete at a high level. One of the best parts of my journey are all of the lasting friendships and great memories I made throughout my club years. All of this lead to finding the perfect college for me and gave me the courage to graduate early and start at Purdue in the spring. I want to continue to grow in the sport of volleyball throughout college and be a role model to others. I truly believe that lots of hard work, a positive attitude and being a team player can take you far!

WHY ULTRA ANKLE?

I’ve used a couple other ankle braces in the past and Ultra Ankle is the best. It is the most comfortable and I feel the most supported when I wear an Ultra Ankle brace. I worry less about an injury during practice and games. Instead I get to focus on my game!

WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT PLAYING FOR Purdue?

Playing Purdue volleyball is exciting because we have high level coaches, facilities and players all within a very supportive community. We are offered so many great opportunities to help us succeed in the sport and beyond. I especially like how close the the team is…. We value each other and it feels like family.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUNG PLAYERS IN YOUR SPORT?

I played several different sports growing up but I WANTED to work hard to achieve my goals in volleyball. It takes dedication and hard work to excel because the sport of volleyball is getting bigger and more competitive all the time. Find your passion and it will make the journey worth it!
